GEORGIA – In the aftermath of Wednesday’s horrific school shooting, multiple schools across Georgia are reporting threats of violence.
Fannin County School System stated that they “wanted to make you aware there have been multiple threats made to schools throughout the state of Georgia over the past 48 hours.”
The shooting that took place at Apalachee High School has trigged a wave a school threats across Georgia.
In fact, two students at Forsyth County Schools have been arrested and charged with Terroristic Threats.
One of those students stated that it was just ‘a joke’.
Forsyth County sheriff’s office demonstrated the seriousness of this offense and that it is not to be taken lightly.
Gilmer County School System stated that since the shooting, “there have been a rash of copycat threats and threat rumors circulating on social media.”
Gilmer County took additional measures by placing their schools in “Secure” status which limits outside exposure.
Many of the threats to other school systems remain unsubstantiated; however, the threats are causing panic in a lot of parents and students.
