PRESS RELEASE – On Thursday, May 15, 2025, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit (CSU), in conjunction with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI) Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO), executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Lake Harbor Trail in Martin as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the search, investigators and agents located approximately 45 grams of suspected methamphetamine inside the residence. As a result of the investigation, the following five individuals were arrested.
Harley Justus, 23 of Martin, has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, and Tampering with Evidence.
Teresa French, 55 of Martin, has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, and Use of Communication Facility in Commission of a Felony Involving Controlled Substances.
Karen Chastain, 58 of Martin, has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, two counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, Use of a Communication Facility in Commission of a Felony Involving Controlled Substances, and Felony Tampering with Evidence.
Brittany Davis, 23 of Martin, has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, and Felony Tampering with Evidence.
James Brian Davis, 44 of Martin, has been charged with Use of a Communication Facility in Commission of a Felony Involving Controlled Substances and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. He also had warrants for his arrest for felony probation violation out of Fulton County and felony parole violation.
This investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
