PRESS RELEASE – On Friday, July 18, 2025, deputies with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division arrested two individuals in connection with a residential burglary that occurred on North Akins Bridge Road in Eastanollee.
At approximately 12:46 p.m., SCSO deputies were dispatched to a residence on North Akins Bridge Road following a 911 call regarding a potential burglary in progress.
According to the caller, who was looking after the property on behalf of the homeowner, they observed an unfamiliar vehicle at the residence and a broken window on the rear side of the house.
While en route to the residence, a deputy passed a vehicle matching the description provided by the caller.
After learning the vehicle was no longer at the residence, the deputy attempted to relocate it. Although initially unsuccessful, another deputy discovered the vehicle traveling north along Highway 145.
The deputy activated their emergency equipment and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle near the intersection of Highway 145 and Highway 106.
After a thorough investigation, which included examining the crime scene as well as interviewing witnesses and the vehicle’s occupants, two individuals were arrested.
