Illegal Narcotics Located, Two Arrested During Traffic Stop

STEPHENS COUNTY, Ga. – At approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2026, deputies with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Old Liberty Hill Road in reference to a traffic violation. As a result, two females were arrested.

During the traffic stop, deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle who was identified as Gabrielle Martin, 21 of Toccoa. While speaking with Martin, deputies observed the odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. All occupants were directed to step out of the vehicle while deputies conducted a probable cause search.

While searching the vehicle, deputies located a purse belonging to the passenger, identified as Haley Davidson, 27 of Toccoa, which contained a plastic bag with suspected methamphetamine and a pill commonly associated with the prescription drug oxycodone.

Deputies also located a backpack belonging to Martin which contained the following items: two plastic baggies containing suspected methamphetamine, two plastic baggies containing suspected fentanyl, two plastic baggies containing suspected marijuana, and several drug-related objects containing residue.

Both Davidson and Martin were subsequently arrested and transported to the Stephens County Jail without incident.

Davidson remains in jail on a $10,000 bond. She is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance.

She is also being held on a warrant out of Banks County for probation violation for an original offense of drug-related charges.

Martin remains in jail on a $13,000 bond. She is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana (Less Than One Ounce), two counts of Possession and Use of Drug-Related Objects, and three traffic-related offenses.

“Your Sheriff’s office remains committed to fighting the war on illegal drugs in Stephens County. I commend the work of these deputies who are out here making legal stops and getting illegal drugs off of our roadways,” said Sheriff Rusty Fulbright. “Not every bust is going to be a pound of narcotics, but each bust helps take a little more off our streets and out of the hands of our youth, our family members, our friends. This is about more than stacking up drugs in our evidence locker – it’s about protecting our community as a whole.”
