Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Sherwood Street

STEPHENS COUNTY, Ga. – A pedestrian was seriously injured Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle in Stephens County, according to authorities.

At approximately 4:23 p.m., Stephens County 911 received reports of a crash involving a pedestrian in the 400 block of Sherwood Street. First responders from Carnes Creek Fire, Stephens County EMS, and the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders found an individual who had been run over by an out-of-control vehicle. Firefighters and paramedics stabilized the patient and provided emergency medical care at the scene before transporting the victim by ambulance to a nearby trauma center. The extent of the injuries has not been released.

Authorities reported no additional injuries. The vehicle involved also struck a nearby home, causing significant damage.

No further details were immediately available. The incident remains under investigation.
